How does one make this game run in 2024 on Win 10/11???

When I start the game, it won't launch, but if I look for it in task manager it's running in the background. For closing it I try to launch again I have to end the process from task manager. I played the demo of this in 2006 and would love to run it now. I've read something about an update for modern systems, is it true?...

Now wirh the steam end of support for win7,8, the only way to play this game legally is through Linux since it doesn't work with win10,11 anymore, why is it still being listed if no one is gonna fix it?

Ok, MegalomaniacNG Guy says it run on w7. As far as I can remember, that is true. I have even lying around somewhere a copy of Panzer Elite. But in other threads i can read about the same old shi... probs with missing turrets and non moving tracks. Can someone tell me what's fact ? September 2015...
