I disagree with MightyFox.
1) Fact that LoG didn't introduce any new maps doesn't mean they didn't test them (and found out they have balance issues etc.).
2) Adding expansions of that kind would extremely extend the duration of a match. While this may be good (or worth trying at least) in actual board games - digital board games shouldn't take so long, because of the online play. You don't get to sit around with folks, talking and joking around as one of you pushes his luck in some dungeon. You just sit there, in front of your PC and wait for this little ... to end his turn AT LAST :) And of course comparing Armello to the Talisman is bad (sorry) due to the Talisman being more of a family game due to its pure randomness and Ludo-like movement mechanic.
As far as I'm concerned, Armello doesn't have too large player base so that might actually kill the online game.

With any changes will come balance issues, but keeping the game the same isn't good for long term planning. I have said many times that LoG needs to look at similar boardgames like Talisman for fun and creative ideas to expand the board without losing too much to power creep and game balance. Dungeons could open up into actual dungeons for example, or towns could open a small town map with different activities. This would expand the board without actually expanding it, and there would be risk/reward invovled in delving a dungeon or moving on to the next quest.

For all those asking for a bigger map

"Oh queue splitting and matchmaking aside, a larger map would be possible, but balance could get weird. Trickery would likely be insanely strong compared to everything else, due to it's enormous reach.

As for more players, I don't think a 5+ mode would be any good considering the wait between turns. That wait really bothers some folks." ~[LoG] Word Slice (taken from http://steamcommunity.com/app/290340/discussions/0/1291817208481456062/ )

I agree mighty. I don't find fun in online play, and single player AIs are so dumb.

This is all well and good, but in the end, it's still the same game it's always been. I would suggest more modes and different map layouts, to break up some of the monotony. I understand it's been said that the current map is the best layout for balance, but you'll never find any new ones unless you step outside that perfect comfort zone.
