A lot of you have been asking about custom key binding. While we have had custom key binding partially implemented in Super Motherload for some time, it was largely broken. Today's update fixes those issues, and allows players playing with a keyboard, or even multiple players on the same machine using a keyboard, to bind keys of their choosing. Custom key bindings are saved automatically.
While Super Motherload still plays best with a gamepad, for those playing with a Keyboard please note that keyboard ghosting, a hardware limitation of pretty much all keyboards, will make some key combinations work less than optimally, especially when playing with several players on a single keyboard.
If you do have an extra keyboard (or three) kicking around, you can plug multiple keyboards into the same system to mitigate ghosting with multiple players.
More information on keyboard ghosting is available here[www.microsoft.com]:
With today's update, you'll see streams of dirt chunks fly and exhaust puff from your gas-guzzling drilling machine as you mine way through Mars.
For those interested in the technical side, it took us a little longer than expected to get particles working properly due to a strange sprite caching issue that was eating up memory unnecessarily each time a particle was recycled. We finally managed to track down and resolve that issue today with what was essentially a one-liner.
We also corrected a few other minor issues in this update - see the complete changelog below.
As always, thank-you for your continued support.
