A SteamVR update from October 4 or 5, 2016 destroyed support for the Oculus DK1. Everything was working perfectly prior to October 4. SteamVR games were launching in the HMD prior to this date. Now these games never make it to the HMD but do show up on the monitor, and to clarify they don't show up in the SteamVR Mirror. You do see the SteamVR white grid room in the HMD and the tracking works. Additionally, the tracking also works in the monitor with these games, however, as mentioned, these games do not show up in the HMD.
Also, the HMD icon in the SteamVR tab no longer lights up green, although it used to prior to October 4. This is really disappointing.

Hi there, exiting SteamVR closes Steam, automatic starting steamVR when turning a controller on, doesn't work any longer.

I've tried that multiple times. Also tried rebooting. I did a fresh install and updated my graphics card drivers. My headset is just not being detected. Everytime I open steamvr I get service status:failed and error 108 but the 108 fixes do nothing.

For those with issues from this update, please first verify the tool cache for SteamVR (Right click > properties > local files)

@Tricad - try resetting USB devices through the SteamVR settings menu developer tab.

Not sure when the issue cropped up, but two months ago I had a nice stable system with the base stations going to sleep when steamVR exited. Now they won't reliably sleep OR wake up.
