Back when I played this right as the early access went public, I thought the melee of the game was really fun and well done for such early stage in the development. But all the ranged crap and the spells made the game a horrible clusterfuck, and now they implement even more spells to mess shit up.

I gave up on this long ago but it's still sad it's going the way it is. Lots of people from chivalry gave this a go and many felt what I did and just gave up because the melee aspects become too random and unpredictable when you have freaking freeze spells and aoe fireballs and bows that work like machine guns etc.

Realize that the majority of people who are drawn to a game like this are because of the melee combat... if looking for fps elements with either weapons or spells etc there are lots of niche games that does it alot better. Not many games have the melee combat potential this have though, so why ruin the experience most people come for in the first place? I just don't get it..

I like the other changes, but why replace capture point? That was the best game mode imo!
I hope it comes back.
