Was that the huntsman?

Might be. Alternatively, PDP has fanboys that will buy a game simply because he graced his presence with it. Not the point though, the point is: exposure is exposure. :)

ShadowShifter's don't worry about instant sales. As the name gets known it'll pick up.

@Shadow
PDP isn't the type of guy that really gives games exposure, and when he does, he does it for the worse.

Regretably, there was no link to Huntsman's store page on PDP's vid unlike on most of his other game vids, but nevertheless it is puzzling that while the game must have gained exposure (see view count above), there was not even one sale generated that I can see. Whereas the Indie Gala bundle sale has generated some interest in the last 24 hours.

@Spindraft, I can agree with you to a point. Some LPers def go out of their way to jump into a game. Look at Markiplier & his recent Outlast + A Machine for Pigs runthrough. He jumped in pretty deep with both & it was pretty worthwhile to watch (for a review & entertainment).

Totalbiscuit might be harsher on the Huntsman 'cause it's not the type of game he prefers, so his reviews (if he does them) might not go in as well as Markiplier's. With PDP, he's your shining example of a person wanting to be in the spotlight. But...

In the end, ShadowShifters wins out. He was basically given free exposure of his game to a large audience. Maybe some won't play it based on PDP's review, but the # of folks who now have heard of it & may give it a try will undoubtedly have increased post-vid.

Great to see incisive comments. :)

Lets Players really detract from the credibility of an actual review. Even in the event that they accidentally make any significant observation of the game mechanics, graphics/visuals, game play, story line, music, creativity, etc it all comes across as self serving to their own desire to be in the spotlight. If you have a reasonable remark to share then share it, if all you want to do is pander to the camera then forgive me if I turn the channel. I came for the game.

@Masky, I didn't want to say that but it's true with PDP. Saw his review after posting & he made the game (likely other games as well) look terrible. But Huntsman isn't his playstyle, it's story driven - whereas he's rushed for attention.

Just for the record, PewDiePie playing it isn't a good thing.

Sweet. Hopefully soon you'll also get Markiplier's interest & maybe TB as well. Going to be a bumpy ride though; exposure from well-known Lets Players will mean a sudden rush of fans...& a fair share of envious trolls.
