I like the update and drones are my favorite form of warfare, so thumbs up from me. but the "shared hull subsystem" idea means that we can no longer disable a ship by, say, shooting off the pieces that the Jump Drive or Reactor is in anymore? in my designs i always put the Jump Drive(s) in a special piece near the engines or behind the cockpit for the reason of me being able to bump them off if i pirate one of them.

I played the update, and there are some nice changes. I like the gameguide option and the drones are a nice addon, even if for now they sometimes crash into my ship. I haven't played KV for a few months now but it runs a lot smoother at a steady 60 fps for me. And i noticed some nice graphical changes. Keep up te good work!

Modify is broken... and when you load a galaxy with a broken ship, it doesn't register that you have any parts.

The 'remove'(nothing happens) and 'modify'(it duplicates it instead) buttons are broken
