If this is (officially) strictly Ubuntu Steam, then ignore me here, but... the current Linux client works brilliantly in Arch (x64, multiple different WM/DM setups) - however, many of the games appear to be set up to install in the Debian/Ubuntu manner (which doesn't work so well on other distros with other package managers). Generally, I have to resort to installing the Humble Bundle version (manually, or through the AUR), then adding it into Steam as a non-Steam game. This is less than optimal for a native platform.
TL;DR, Steam works fine under Arch, but the games don't install properly. Wat do?

I've ran this on Ubuntu 32bit, 64 bit and Linux Mint 32bit and 64 bit without very many problems other than the video playback in the 64bit clients and I've played TF2, Trine 2, The book of unwritten tales, and world of goo on each one. (just some fyi for those that have issues with getting the book of unwritten tales to load, right click the game title choose properties and uncheck "enable steam community in-game") awesome work so far :) Valve Rocks!

You made a repository. And the deb download you provide automatically adds the repo to the repo list. That's some good design, Steam folks. :)

Great client. Can't wait for source games to be ported (Garry's Mod, Portal 2, Half-Life 2, Portal...)
