@Greenflame I'm saying that the game is being built from the ground up, and before we can add anything new we have to rebuild the old. This new system that we're building will allow us to deliver more content and features with ease. Stuff like gameplay and balance is hard to show right now until we get closer to completion (and we are getting close, by the way). Of course levels are being worked on in parallel. Our coders work on code, and our level designers work on levels. The latter just being easier to show at this point in time.

As for your last point, this game will not be re-released. The rehaul of this game will be a free update.

@EmptyCrazyORC I don't think map re-design is of any importance at this stage, engine recoding is surely good. Would be nicier to see gameplay-feature related content being developed in parallel with engine recode, instead the maps. I'd be happy to play with more features even on a huge flat cube map.

@Apoc So you mean no gameplay development is possible now, so that you do maps in parallel? IF so, it would be nice if you mentioned it, because what game really lacks is gameplay features. I also hope you fix balance, game was waaaaaay better in 1.2, now in 1.3 it's unbalanced and broken and that's was the last thing after which I stopped playing the game.
Please keep in touch, share more news, I have huge hopes for this game, sad to see it's often silent and content is just skins and maps. Hope it changes with recode completion. I'd even buy another copy at full price or even higher, even if it was released as Primal Carnage 2.

No punkbuster....More issues then it's worth. I'd go for VAC and voicechat would be nice.

@GreenFlame I disagree. A solid foundation is what the game needs the most now. Simply adding new stuff won't get the game far. You mentioned "unfinished engine" and that's exactly what they're working on - the game engine and basic gameplay, map flow etc.

@GreenFlame We can't bring new content to Primal Carnage until we fix what's already there. We have a lot of big plans for the game, which includes a lot of what you're talking about. The first release of the recode will be the same game, but built from the ground up and on a new system that allows us to push new content to the game with more ease than ever before. We can't show much on gameplay until more of the game is polished and near-release, but more info is coming! Stay tuned :)

@EmptyCrazyORC yes, I have seen the linked article, sure. But it's far from what game actually needs now, in my opinion, game needs more gameplay mechanics and stuff I mentioned in the other post.

It's like working on a nice comfortable wheel for a car that has unfinished engine. I'd drive with basic wheel but with a functional car instead.
