As above, did not change graphics drivers, every other game works. Can't post on Klei Entertainment forums, doesn't even load properly on Chrome :( Any one having the same problem?

I've had this game for a while on Steam but never played it. I tried to today and it doesn't work. An icon appears on the dock and then disappears. This is on High Sierra btw.

My Mac version is 10.13.6 and when I attempt to launch this game, I am met with "An error occurred while updating Eets Munchies [Missing Executable]" When I install this game, the installation finishes instantly and when i check the game files, the folder is always empty. I have tried verifying the game files, it says everything is fine. I also tried uninstalling the game, restarting steam, and reinstalling. I am still met with this problem. Does anyone know how I can fix this? ...

I wanted to play the original game. for nostlagia reasons mostly but i cannot seem to find it anywhere. best thing i found online was a DEMO which while nice wasn't quite what i was looking for. funnily enough the demo worked on windows 10 while i distinctly remember the base game not working on windows 7...
