Wow, Hard difficulty seems a huge step change Normal difficulty. After 925 hours in the game, I have now managed to get my first win on Hard. Although I had previously beaten the game with all the ships on Easy and Normal levels, it has taken many many more hours to get my first win on Hard (using the Osprey ship). At the easier difficulties, I generally took out the main missile battery using a teleporter raid. However, the configuration of Boss ship makes this tactic next to impossible, as the enemy crew...

I've done the tutorial 3 times now and still have no idea what I'm doing. Does this game have a steep learning curve or do I just have $#!t for brains?

Found some posts online, but most of them were 10+ years old. I'm curious to know how the general opinion on interesting ships to play might have evolved since then. Personally I enjoy Crystal A and Rock C a lot these days, as well as Fed B and the Zoltan cruisers in general....
