Including China as a political force in the East is an important step forward for CKII, but it brings with it its own limitations. Properly including Chinese politics in CKII would also be far larger of an undertaking than I believe Paradox is ready for at this stage in development (I could be wrong, but I believe Paradox is going to have an extremely simplified "Dragon Emperor" figure at the head, and then leave all real in-game power to the Western head of the empire). Since this addition will likely be a close to CKII's map expansion, I believe that this DLC marks the point where Paradox should hopefully consider re-creating the world in a new engine.

I'm so excited for this update to happen, because I love playing as Eastern rulers. I do believe it's nearing time to reconstruct the Crusader Kings II world in either a "Crusader Kings III," or a massive map/performance expansion however.

My reasoning is that there are so many historical events and communities that Crusader Kings II in its current state could never properly portray, but are essential pieces in the global puzzle that is the Crusader Kings II world. Japan, for example, underwent the Genpei War between 1180-1185, and established the shogunal-style of government that it is so famous for. This is so far from the original focus of the Crusader Kings world that I don't anticipate such an event ever being mentioned in CKII, the medieval theme of politics, betrayal, and dynasty building fits so well into the area in this time period, and could feasibly be worked into a future game title.

Christ guys, damned if they do, damned if they don't. I have a bit of a bone to pick myself on some things they do, but at least be fair and understand where they're coming from. It's funny how they've actually listened to what you guys want, and now you all start getting mad at them for actually listening to what you wanted.

At this point I think Paradox's resources would be better spent rebooting Crusader Kings as a game about the whole world (or at least eurasia) starting from the rise of Charlemagne or even the fall of Rome and ending just in time for Europa Universalis, AKA the renaissance. Stop just pumping more DLCs into a bloated game and listen to your fans; this could have so much potential.

Will the Governor be playable without cheats? Also, for everyone complaining about the lack of map expansion, first of all, people were already complaining about how much India made the game lag. Second of all, the province system doesn't even make sense in China considering their system of governance. Finally and, in my opinion most importantly, this game is called CRUSADER Kings. A huge part of the map and gameplay have already been disconnected from the completely Eurocentric origins of the game, and adding China to the map would just be the final nail in the coffin, making it about the middle ages across the globe, not kings who went Crusading.

@yukipon3133 That's a ridiculous claim, why does everything has something to do with the ccp?

Paradox probably didn't want to show China on the map because they might get on the wrong side of CCP in depicticting their "accurate" history - like they did with HoI for their "inaccurate" depiction of CCP in the game, and got their game banned.
