Should I buy this game? it looks good but people say bad things about it

Installed and played previously. Bought through steam, steam product key provided and used, worked fine. Haven't played in a while, now it takes the product key, and my username and password and says "Product Key Already In Use" Yea, by me. It's mine, attached to this computer, this email and this password and never given out to anyone else. What gives?...
