My supports are red, of course. Assaults are gold/yellow. My Snipers are green/black. My Heavies are usually blue. My MECs are usually somewhere between green and brown, like a battered tank. My elite Psi killers, with all the best Gene upgrades, are whatever their expensive asses look best in.
A fun Multi-player mode would be for all the humans (2-6) to be on a team, each controlling one super unit they upgrade outside of battle. Since it would be humans vs automated enemies, the devs can offset that imbalance by throwing more enemies at you. Together the team can take on objective based missions, not just simple PvP or PvE Deathmatch modes. Like finding and disabling the bomb, or a race to get from one side of the map to the other - scenarios played out in the campaign that would be perfect for multi-player.
Maybe it cant be done, but all the pieces are already there, i think.

Why not customize your soldiers and color code their suites?
Support = Red, Assualt = Blue, Heavy = Green, Snipers = white, etc..

the XCOM Wiki has a page on the Exalt HQ base raid:
I think the game will specifically notify you when XCOM has located the Exalt base and the base raid mission is available (as with the "defend the XCOM base" mission). I haven't gotten there just yet.
I 2nd and 3rd the co-op requests. About 15 years ago I often played Blue Byte's Incubation (via dialup, mostly with a pal over in Australia even). It was a blast, and the game let you optionally set time limits on turns to keep things moving along. I keep seeing Solomon and XCOM: EW's designer pretty much ignore interview comments about co-op. I think they're really missing the boat there. :D

I don't understand how the raid on Exhalt HQ thing works. There is no clear indication on how to determine the exact location of the Exhalt HQ cell, as I am unaware of what the yellow indicators are representing, it is difficult to ascertain that information. If someone would to be so kind as to point that out I would be very appreciative.

I just played multiplayer for the first time. This glitchy piece of shit shouldnt even be ingame if you are not gonna put the time in to polish it. Feels like a fucking beta.
