Idk why anyone who's a fan of the last couple of entries would stop pre-ordering their games when the series is just plain awesome. This is not CoD, Destiny or some other cash grab.
I personally love the XCOM series and I am glad that we finally get a sequel, what they could have done better was to allow modding in the last one, the longwar modders I must imagine had to overcome a huge hurdle to bring us the longwar mod and it paid off cause it is a big reason as to why XCOM EU/EW is still alive and well.
Support the developer if you enjoy the game.

I am hoping for customization options down the road and hopefully there will be mods like longwar or better down the road.
I Pre-ordered the game but I am not sure if I will be getting this seeing how only pre-ordered about a week ago. I'll be paying for the DLC pack the same day it releases though.

Pre-Ordered...I did it because I wanted to and no one made me do it.
I'll support Firaxis when it's something I like and want and something I'm sure I will thourghly enjoy playing!

Pre-Orders wouldn't be offered if they weren't profitable. Pre-Orders are locking in purchases that may have been avoided by dog reviews. I regret the Pre-Order of a Koch Industries product that was a redux of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light. The cheap redux was definately a dog to generate sales that would never had happened. That seems to be primary reason they're offered in the first place.

With this Pre-Order you'll get more of the same. The original game wasn't too bad once you got into it but the Aliens merely upgrade at the same rate as your squad. They all just have shinier stuff and better eye-candy.

And you'll get the DLC to bring it up-to-snuff to boot! I was disappointed that the Enemy WIthin DLC wasn't free. Specially because it solved a few of the annoying features of the original. To pay for a DLC to get something that makes the original playable is BS.

They got me with Civ BE... not this time.

No Expensive pre-orders for me. I did that with Civilization Beyond Earth and it was crap. Never again.

Loved XCom EU/EW. I am fawning over the possibilities of customization, less repetitive maps and modding(?)! But damn. No more preordering.

The new grapic style looks so cheap. My first impression of the gameplay Videos is: a big update for Xcom would have been a better idea.
But the Videos are cool :)
