I just got threatened to lose Garry's Mod for good because a kid thought I was using mods.
I'm not, but still, should I be concerned?

no, you don't get VAC banned because someone calls you a hacker (or even if they report you for it), unless you actually are.

You can always answer them that 'Your dad works on the FBI and is going to put him in jail if he ever bans you'
VAC only bans you if you use cheats, period.

Also, mods won't get you banned, only VAC detecing a cheat being used on your system will get you banned.

VAC runs on game servers so no you can not "lose Garry's Mod for good"
it is a game and not a VAC secured server.
