Cheating isn't fair either. If you think it's a mistake then contact support.
You should know that mistakes from VAC are extremely rare

Still find it funny, that some people never heard of support before...
Never hurts to google it or read the pinned thread, here is the link https://support.steampowered.com/

VAC bans are both automated and delayed, meaning you can be banned for cheating days or weeks ago. The VAC system searches for known cheats when you are connected to a VAC secured server, and if it finds any it will apply a ban at some undetermined time. VAC bans are very, very rarely incorrect and if they are it nearly always involves many people banned in a single wave which is quickly corrected. If you honestly believe your ban to be incorrect (i.e., you have never used cheats of any sort at all or loaned your account to anyone or had it compromised or used by a family member) then send a ticket to support, who will check to see if the ban was properly applied. Properly applied bans, whether it was a day ago or three weeks ago the cheating occurred, regardless of who was on the account at the time, are permanent.

It is actually more difficult to find VAC discussion forum than the support, considering how VAC discussion is located within the Community tab, and then the subcategory Discussion, while Support appear on the very same row of tabs, without any further subcategories.

Funny is a well put word, quite frankly.
