Gaming PC Newbie
Hello guys, an introduction to me. I'm pretty new to the whole community of pc gaming. I'd like to know what what would be a pretty neat set up. I'm a console player but it seems to have to no flavour to it's community anymore and like to try this. I have had my fare share of games on this such as Half-Life to TF2 and own the valve pack. I'd like to know wich is better out of an I5 or an I7 processor with a gtx 660 that could play any of the new games that might come out soon.

get 800w psu
and 8gb ram too
i have a 560, if it matters and you want to save some money, it can handle all the new games very well :)

If you're not doing hardcore rendering or other cpu intensive work an i7 is a waste of money.

I would just be using it for gaming really and a lil bit of filming

I chose a i5 Ivory bridge OC 4.3, mine was built purely for gaming...

For your GPU go with XFX radeon 6870 if you want to run a 1920x1080 resolution or if you are using a PC monitor go with the EVGA 560 ti. I would say get 16GB RAM because it is dirt cheap and you really can't have enough. GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 is a good motherboard for the price and a i5 CPU. Go for a 1000W PSU because that gives you room to upgrade later. Then find a case you like. All of this is yours for under 700 pounds, I can't find that pound symbol on my U.S. keyboard. This will play anything on the market and leaves you plenty of room to upgrade later.
