The whole Half Life series was rated one of the best games ever made. It's not just another alien shooter, it uses strategy and physics to make the game much more enjoyable than most other FPS games. I also don't get why people make such a big fuss over Team Fortress 2. It's a horrible game in my opinion. I would rather play its original, Team Fortress Classic (I have both games in my library). Although TFC's graphics and gameplay are absurd, I actually had a better time playing that than TF2, as TF2 actually lags a lot for me. I think that's just because my processor sucks.
