Oporation system upon oporation system.
when will it end?

it's annoying enough to have to start steam every time i want to play a game,
but having to launch steam to launch another oporation system to play a game is slowly
getting annoying.

sure i use steam as a game library but nowerdays you for 5 different oporation systems that follows after steam.

long story short.

why do they all have another oporation system? when i launch a game on steam I PLAY IT THROUGH STEAM. not Uplay, not Origin, not Windows live or whatever other god forsaken system is around.

If you don't want to play Uplay games through Steam, then buy them from Ubisoft on Uplay. Same with Origin.

Once activated on Uplay though, you don't have to use Steam.

Your hatred for Uplay and Origin is unfounded though. Both services have been more stable than Steam in the past 5 months.

that might be true Tirith, but the point is. how many operation systems will i have to install in the future? if every game or company is going to release their operation system?

As many as you choose to buy into.

I have Steam, Origin, Uplay, Desura, and Blizzard's Battle.net system.

You'll have as many as you want to play games on. Simple as that.

Also consider than on such games it's Steam the 'alien' layer that's added on top of these game's DRM, not the other way around.

well let me tell you something funny that just happened here.
so since might &magic x legacy is on sale i thought i'd buy it.

i install it and when i launch it. it downloads uplay.
i go to uplay and press "play" and it then replies to me with
"Uplay is now Launching steam. your game will start within that application. thank you for choosing UPlay"

please do tell. what is the logic behind all this crap?

Wait a minute. OF COURSE uplay would start Steam since Steam is required for DRM.
