Reasons for Hating Steam?

Why do people write articles about how bad Steam is and how they only want our money? Read one today about some dude getting banned from Steam and therefore couldn't access any of his games he bought through Steam. said he was banned and not told why either. Article said Steam never tells us what we did wrong, just comes down with the Ban Hammer for seemingly no reason. People were really against Steam in the comments section.

I love Steam. I get great deals, and contrary to what people have said, I get prompt, good customer suport too. Most of the users here are very friendly too.

So why the hate? What IS there to hate? I'm confused o_0

It's slow, buggy, and jammed with unfinished games/features. That and the deals just aren't that great. GMG, Amazon and Gamesgate all beat out Steam in the deals department.

Don't believe everything you read on the Internet.

You do not lose access to anything but VAC secure servers for the game or games you get banned from.

You get banned for cheating, no other explanation is necessary.
