What's a good racing game on Steam?
I'm looking for something that's not too simulator-y but not too cart racey either. Something with online multiplayer that's still active. And something without too steep of a learning curve.
So, what would you guys recommend?

Need For Speed Shift 2 is on sale at the moment, it's fairly solid- somewhere between sim and arcade like. Quite fun, and pretty solid for the money imo (I have the ps3 version).

I've decided on getting shift 2 and hot pursuit because they're on sale.
Thanks for your help.

Need for speed hot pursuit is cool and has 25% discount. Great game I own it on the xbox and now also on steam. (€4,99)

Next car game does also look kinda fun. You can download a demo if you google next car game download. full game (€23,99)

I would not reccomend NFS undercover. It does look pretty and the music is good and all but the story and the gameplay are very bad.

Burnout Paradise is also a lot of fun. An open world arcade racer with stuntjumps, billboards to smash, and burnouts iconic takedowns. :D (also 75% discount, €3,74)
