Unless EVERYTHING fits in a SINGLE trade window DO NOT DO THE TRADE

Steam does not support trades for money, using middlemen, steam wallet, cd-keys, unicorn blood, etc.

Dealing with currency is not recommended. If you get scammed no one will come to your rescue.

Read this: Steam Support > Steam Trading Policy

What are the best ways to verify a trade to avoid getting scammed?

  • Do not trade items outside the trade window. If another user requests that you do, they will likely scam you. Always insist to trade within the trade window in Steam.

What should I not trade for?

Do not trade for anything that cannot be added into the trade window within Steam. The most common examples of these scenarios are the following:
  • Trading items/gifts for money outside of the Steam Community market. You cannot add wallet credit or any form of money into the trade window. A common example of this is trading for items/gifts in return for money via PayPal.

It's possible, but you should absolutely not trade with items outside of the trade window unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing. In this case I'd reccomend politely turning him down and asking for the value in TF2 currency (i.e. Metal, Keys and buds, which you probably already know). As has been said, if you get scammed, noone will help you.

+1
Cheap bundles have made it easy for scammers to fill in dummy accounts with even AAA games, making them look legit. I would not recommend selling it for a currency outside steam. You could trade the item for games, if he agrees to it (as long as they are not redeemable keys) in which case it would all go smoothly through steams trade.
