Magicka is an absolute blast with a few friends in local co-op.
The LEGO games are all great in local co-op if you can enjoy a casual/kid-friendly game.
Hammerwatch is great throwback to the original Gauntlet.
Castle Crashers is also pretty good, bit of humor as well.
Dungeon Defenders is tons of fun in co-op but I can't get comfortable playing it with a controller instead of mouse and keyboard.
And as said above, Trine 1 and 2 are good for local co-op.
CastleStorm *looks* pretty good for local co-op, but I haven't played it yet (hopefully getting it in Summer Sale)
Talisman is a virtual board game that's supposed to be pretty good.
Also, a lot of TBS games (Civilization, Age of Wonders) have a local hot-seat multiplayer mode. Some people really enjoy that, it's hit or miss for me.
Portal 2 in local co-op ??
I think some ppl mix up local co-op...
