GFWL Shutting down

GFWL will be soon shutting down on July 1, 2014, what will happen with our games? Will you guys be sad or happy?

Glad, I finally don't have to sign in to the atrocious drm system that is GFWL.

Why would I be "sad" or "happy"?

I'm aware of one GFWL-game in my library, "DiRT 2". There may be more, but I'm not currently aware of any other.

Now, technically I should be annoyed since the publisher didn't update the game. Realistically, I tried playing the game a couple of times and never even managed to complete the first race, so I can't really say I care about loosing it.

Other than that, seeing a GFWL banner on the shoppage -> no go, no matter how good the sale might be.

So our GFWL games will be unplayable?

Probably the same as what happened when the Batman Arkham series stopped using GFWL. All saved-games disappeared. You can still start new ones, but the old saves just vanished.

nuh, you can still make an offline profile and play as usual.

Because when i bought IV it used gfwl

If they know that GFWL is shutting down, don't you think they'd avoid using it in their game to be released AFTER it shuts down?

They didn't disappear.

The GFWL saves are in the old location. The update uses a new one.
