New to Mac
Hi All

I have just purchased a mac after years of having windows. I am after some advice as to how best to transfer my steam account and also the game I have which is Football Manager 2012? Will I be able to transfer this from a windows to a mac version and will I lose my saved progress

Thank you

Gareth

It looks like the Football Manager series are Steam Play titles, and show Mac support. At the very least, that means you can just download them on your mac, but I think in most cases it means saved games are synced as well.

In theory, if you had cloud save enabled for the game, then your saves should be automatically loaded when you start it up. I've done this from Mac to Mac but never Windows to Mac that's why I say "in theory".

Football Manager 2012 doesn't support Steam Cloud for saved games. You'll need to save these games onto a memory stick or some such and manually copy it to your Mac. You should then be able to continue your save unaffected.

FM2014 however will be supporting Cloud saves for the first time.

I'm pretty certain he is, I wasn't aiming for anything vital.
