Bioshock Infinite crashes on launch
The mac version of Bioshock Infinite released today crashes on launch on my iMac7,1. The Bioshock infinite game icon appears briefly in the dock, then disappear and an apple crash report pops up. My iMac7,1 is running 10.8.4, verifying the game cash did not fix the problem.

Can anyone else confirm this?

What's the video card in that machine?

I would also recommend contacting our technical support at support.aspyr.com

That may be the issue. The gpu and vram are both under minimum system requirements (ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB). It's surprising to me that this would result in an app crash though, rather than just poor performance.

I have a Mac mini i5 Sandy Bridge w/ Radeon 6630HD 256GB GDDR SDRAM video memory and 16GB RAM-- game agent listed it as may run. Does anyone know if Bioshock Infinite will run on a Mac mini w/ radeon 6630HD?

I just bought Bioshock Infinite tonite and finished downloading it on Steam and it works on my Mac mini w/ Radeon HD 6630M 256MB GDDR SRAM video memory, 16 GB RAM running Mac OSX 10.8.4! I am using 1280 x 720 resolution and it runs pretty well and smooth so far, so good!

I too get this issue on my Mac Pro (nVidia GTX460 2GB); it fails on boot.

When launching from terminal it quits with the following error:

Illegal instruction: 4

Same happens with me. I'm on a 2011 macbook pro on 10.8.4.
Does anyone know if this sort of thing can be removed with an update?

It is just because of Aspry's buggy launcher most of the time. What I did to fix it is just reinstalling it.
I hope it helps I don't like looking stupid...
