Space Hulk crashing on start
I get about 5 seconds of video and sound and then it stops and the sound loops and I have to do a "Force Quit". Bummer.

Well great, seems I'm not the only Apple Man around here with this problem.

Great job VALVe, way to support your non-Windows userbase. I preordered this ♥♥♥♥♥ and everything!

Hey,
I had the same problem with the crashing, so what i did was I hit escape before it crashed, bringing me to the title screen! It worked for awhile and didn't crash on the intro.

I played in a frinds house this evening, It happens too, you have to wait a lot of time and then it starts, the game is really bad.

I'm getting the same behavior. I used to be able to play a couple weeks ago.

I'm running it on a 2013 MacBook Air... connected to AC power and an external monitor. If I recall correctly, the last time I was able to launch Space Hulk and play it, I wasn't connected to power or the monitor... but when I disconnect everything now, it still freezes up during the opening cinematic.

Really disappointed.

yes, getting the same... gutted, used to play this back in the 90s & was hoping to reconnect with my misspent youth.

Brand new Macbook Pro, 2.8 i7 Quad core, 8GB Ram, Intel Iris.

That hitting the escape key got me past the start up crash thank goodness! Thanks.

I had the same problem. This reply from support@fullcontrol.dk worked for me:

> put it next to the .exe file for the game, which is located in the game folder.
