*UPDATE* CS:GO Crash on Launch (August 14th Update)
Turns out that I can't even access the main menu without my game crashing. I can load up the default background screen and my net_graph 1 loads up, but after that my game crashes. Does anyone have the same problem as I do or should I resort to reinstalling the game?

This worked for me on OSX 10.6.8

the problem now is
im just having a problem with the screen resolution now
it opens up in windows and when i change to fullscreen it still maintains the windows screen size
and changing the aspect ratio/resolution to a higher like 1024/768 just ends up cutting off

I just tested it, and the game ran fine for me. Maybe it has to do with your OS? I'm running on OS X 10.6.8 myself.

The game runs fine on my macbook pro 8,1 with mac osx 10.8.4 the only problem that I'm having is the annoying cursor bug.
Are you using gfxCardStatus or a similar program? For example if I setup gfxCardStatuts as integrated only an I try to run CSGO I have an instant crash. Try to verify the integrity of game cache under the game properties.
Also what OS version and hardware are you using?

Im currently using my MacBook Pro on version 10.6.8. I have verified my game cache and also reinstalled the game but I am still experiencing the same problem. It was working perfectly fine before the update.

Are you guys using a custom HUD, some people are having problems because they have a custom HUD installed. What says the crash report?

i decided to reinstall my csgo after renaming my steamapps as steamapps_old
(hoping it works)
im pretty much using the default HUD

I have not installed a custom HUD or added any maps from the steam workshop. Still not working.

i reinstalled it and now its stuck at 100%
with the whole Ready to Launch in: 0 seconds
and wont let me hit play
the steam logo even has the "downloading dotted lines" on it as well

Well, I seem to have spoken too soon. It crashes for me now too, not on the start up, but it crashes when I'm in a game. I haven't been able to play a game for more than like a minute and a half without it crashing. :/

My mac is running on OS X 10.6.8 aswell. Opening in the game is no problem for me, I can join game without problems. But well in game thats where my problems start, i crash randomly. I played a MM game yesterday with friends. I crashed 24 times, just reconnected so i wouldnt get banned.
Anyone know how to fix it?
