Steam Crashing Before Startup After Latest Update
My steam crashes every single time I try to launch it after the latest update. Upon close inspection of the crash report, I found this...

Thread 3 Crashed:
0 com.googlecode.google-breakpad 0x0031e5bd google_breakpad::ExceptionHandler::UninstallHandler(bool) + 191

1 com.googlecode.google-breakpad 0x0031e2c1 google_breakpad::ExceptionHandler::WaitForMessage(void*) + 157

2 libSystem.B.dylib 0x981f9259 _pthread_start + 345

3 libSystem.B.dylib 0x981f90de thread_start + 34

Anybody know what I should do?

I'm having the same problem. I don't have a solution.

Same Problem. Running 10.7.5.

Ditto. Been looking on other threads and nothing from Valve whatsoever. My crash is on a different Thread line but it's the same error and happened right after I updated.

OS 10.7.5

Was running fine until this update.

Thread 4 Crashed:
0 com.googlecode.google-breakpad 0x0031e5bd google_breakpad::ExceptionHandler::UninstallHandler(bool) + 191

1 com.googlecode.google-breakpad 0x0031e2c1 google_breakpad::ExceptionHandler::WaitForMessage(void*) + 157

2 libsystem_c.dylib 0x93b60ed9 _pthread_start + 335

3 libsystem_c.dylib 0x93b646de thread_start + 34

And you are not helping TimeBandit.

OS10.8.4 on an i7 rMBP. System-wide bug it would seem...

Still nothing? Guess they can't figure how to roll back the patch...

5 hours is more than enough time to at least acknowledge the issue. I don't know it works in the software/gaming industry but where I work if I don't address this kind of issue immediately (as in 1-2 hours after it's occurrence) I lose business and customers. Valve, say something at least.

Wait...did Microsoft buy Valve today?

this is getting ridiculous...

Another hour gone. No response from Valve.
