Good Mac Games on Steam?
I think I'm gonna buy CS GO since its been on sale for a while and I do like fps. I also love rts games, in particular SC2. I just went on break though and want a new game to play for a little bit. Any recommendations?

Edit: I am currently getting rid of my Mac to get a custom-made windows 8 computer. Sorry my fellow Maccites, but I can't take it anymore.

Portal 2 is a good game.

also left 4 dead 2, Half-life 1 and 2, team fortress 2, plants vs zombies

You ought to play portal 1 before 2

Good luck in getting any Steam games to run for more than one system update from Apple. Stem support for Mac is a joke. :(

Faster Than Light's pretty good. It's a kinda quick game that's fairly replayable. Get it from their website[www.ftlgame.com] though, as it gets you the DRM-free version and a Steam key. Just be warned that battling in real time without pausing is basically hard mode.

As for CS:GO, I noticed that my copy needed to redownload several files after validation, though mine was updated rather than freshly downloaded. It's a fun game, but yes, it does seem to be crashy on Mac lately, especially the custom content like Operation Payback. It's kinda tempting to see if it's any more stable in Wineskin/Crossover.

Portal 2 was by far the most enjoyable for me :)

Source games are your best bet here. Half-Life 2, Portal 2, TF2 etc are all really enjoyable titles.

Legend of Grimrock was wonderful - a dungeon crawler with battles & puzzles - and I enjoyed getting through half of it before the Steam client updated and screwed me over. Now I play "post uselessly to forums." It's not the best game, but all I have left.

Yeah, Portal is good if you can stand the motion sickness. "Thomas Was Alone" is fun and artsy, but too short and not all that re-playable.
