Steam eating ram (Help Please!)
After the steampipe update, I started noticing random crashing. After looking through many old forums I found one about ram on steam leading to crash. I have 8gb of ram, and ususualy once I get in game It drops down to 6.5. Within 30 mins of gameplay my ram will drop down to around 2gb. After a little over an hour of gameplay I will have about 250mb of ram remaining. Recently around an hour of gameplay on any game, will lead to hl2.osx quit unexpectedly. Is this odd draining of ram the probelm? Or just the steampipe update? I had no problems before on steam before the update. I have tried reinstalling steam and all games, also verifying. Every time I try to play a game, it will just end up crashin. I checked tf2 and monitered itin 1 hour and 13 minutes it was at 132.4 mb of ram then it crashed. Is this the probelm? Is anyone else crashing or getting any problems since the update?
