Retina display support
I just bought a 15" MacBook Pro with Retina display (late 2013), and surprisingly no games are supported with Retina. Portal 2 comes out pixelated even at max settings, and even though I knew it's going to decrease battery life, the RDM thing scales all text down. Games were also buggy. Surprisingly dissapointed.

Higher resolution. "Retina support" would be the Mac-equivalent of "DPI-aware" windows software, where the software itself scales to the current resolution, rather than the operating system.

"Resolution", in this kind of context, means "dpi" -- not total pixels. Thus, "1920x1080" isn't a resolution, but 100 "dots per inch" would be. That's also how you can see the importance of DPI-support: if your monitor has 100 pixels per inch, then an object with 100 pixels would be 1 inch in size. If you display those 100 pixels on a monitor with 200 pixels per inch, the size would go down to half an inch.

A Retina display is making the pixels so small and dense "that the human eye can't even distinguish them." But in Apple's fashion, it's taking the old model and quadruple its pixel density. So it doesn't have a real dpi to talk about.
