press shift+tab to bring up the steam in game menus. the bottom left one is screen shots and should say what your hotkey is set to. my hotkey was already used by my mac for something else so it wasn't working. so I had to click "set hotkey" and then chose a new one. then you should be able to hit that hot key during any game to bring up the screen shot menu.

I bellive fn F12 may also work I Know in minecraft fn F2 works and f2 is the key for PC.
Shift, command keys and 4 at the same time. Then drag the crosshair over the area you want to capture and release. A png file will be saved do you desktop.

@ron yes, typically shift+command+4 takes a screenshot for mac, however this doesn't work inside steam.

default should be fn+f12, but you may change it in your steam settings

i am using `
@MisT-M in youru KB settings change it so that you don't have to hit fn for function keys. It reverses it. So you hit fn to use the f-keys alternatives. Makes more sense for brightness and volume... I can just hit F12
