Same here after doing the client update today. I switched out of steam beta a few weeks ago since it was having blank screens too.

Still didn't work for me Hanteeru, I re-installed steam the first time and it worked, but ive been trying to opt-out of the beta and re-install steam but it wont work

Yeah, the issue is from the update as I'm affected too even outside the beta. What OS are you guys running? I still use Mavericks.

I happen to have the same issue :( Oh and I still use Mavericks. Should probably try to update to Yosemite. EDIT: I updated to Yosemite, it didn't fix the bug.

I have Yosemite and I also have black screen on steam client. My steam client is May 14th update!

Interestingly, while it only shows a blank view, we can click on things so it is loading the pages. We just can't see anything. This also affects the browser in the in-game steam overlay.

Edit: Can't use the browser in Big Picture Mode either.

I seem to be having this issue as well on my MacBook. I am running the latest version of Yosemite. Whenever I launch steam it will boot with me being offline. I can't load any urls through steam. My friends list is working and so is my library. The online capabilities in games is also fine. It also seems to be loading the pages I just can't see them. They are replaced by a black screen within the steam launcher. I noticed this problem yesterday after doing the client update and got the same issue a few months ago while i was running steam beta. I switched off of the beta and that seemed to fixe it then. So I guess we just got to wait for valve to fix it. :/

Edit: I also did a clean reinstall and it did not change anything.
