White login box on Mac

Have updated and re-installed but still having this issue, the login box opens completely white except for the steam logo. I can click on the box to type username and password. but it wont open as the box expands and i can't see what is need to happen next

I am having the same issue. The first login box is white, and if you click around blindly enough, it opens the black one for creating a new account. Both totally blank.
Please help. Is this a graphics card issue?

This is a problem with case-sensitive file systems. Thanks for the link, Pilieser -- as to the relevant posters there, Asturaz has a quick fix, and Scarlie links to a longer-term solution.
