Steam on Mac frequently thinks last pc game on same network still running

This happens all the time. I play TF2 on my Desktop PC for a few hours and go to my Mac. I decide to launch a game here and it tells me that TF2 is still running on my Desktop PC.



Restarting the Mac Steam Client fixes the issue so it must be this client that has the problem like not reading a broadcast from the PC client that the game is no longer running or something.



Please fix it, it is very annoying.
