Do you enjoy detailing but suck at map design?

Hi All

I've been thinking about the maps that I have made and about what i enjoy and don't enjoy about mapping.

The thing I enjoy the most about mapping is combat, level and puzzle design. It's what I'm interested in and what I think I'm good at.

What I suck at... is detailing... I don't have the patience for it. I'm simply placing a thin layer over my level to make it more acceptable to the player.

So, do you find that you love detailing areas and making them look pretty? Do you spend hours on one room and then never finish you maps?
