CS:GO Dedicated Server, can't join
Ok I'm trying to setup a dedicated server on my home server. And yes I'm talking an actual server with actual server hardware, things like 3Ware hardware RAID cards, ECC Registered memory & multiple Xeon processors if you get my drift. In any case I'm currently running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on this particular server. I have downloaded and installed SteamCMD which seems to be working ok and installed CS:GO without issues from what I can tell. However if I try and connect to my server locally or from an outside connection I get the error message "This game is currently unavailable (Application Running)"

I'm using the following ports (CentOS 5.8 x64)

See if that allows your server to make contact back and forth with the master listing server. That "copy/paste" should insert the new IPTables chain.

or change port.

If you are properly port forwarded, there is no need to add in the IP address.

./srcds_run -game csgo -console -usercon +game_type 0 +game_mode 1 +mapgroup mg_allclassic +map de_dust +port 27014 +maxplayers 8 -autoupdate

That is the command I use, but I use port 27014 on this instance of SRCDS.

Tried altering the commands for each of the other ones posted and none change the error message I receive when I try and connect to the server. Interestingly enough a friend of mine is able to connect & play on the server so it's something local although I'm not sure what.

That is the command I use, but I use port 27014 on this instance of SRCDS.

There is a need to specify the IP address if the host server itself has more than one IP address in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethX:X

Correct, but assuming that this is a home server, he probably doesn't need to as most residential ISPs don't allow multiple IP addresses.

You can have multiple internal IP Addresses. Mine is set up with 10.1.1.2 primary reserved and 10.1.1.3-10 are reserved as well. This is so I can have apache listening on 10.1.1.3 and my router forwards 80 to .3 while other services reside on seperate IP addresses.

This is to expose my server to the outside without exposing the entire thing via DMZ.

Furthermore a big reason for doing it this way is it is easier to graph incoming/outgoing traffic when it's based on IP address

I was referring to external IP addresses.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I've been pretty busy lately. I followed the posted instructions and unfortunately they didn't help. However I did accidentally come across something interesting. If I attempt to connect to my server through the out of game server browser that is when the error occurs. If I launch CS:GO and then connect to my server through that server browser it connects and plays just fine.

When you run "status" in console when you are connected, what IP address are you connected to? Your external or internal?
