Stuck Getting version 49 of Steam HLDS Update Too
Hi All

ubuntu:~/srcds$ ./steam
Checking bootstrapper version ...
Getting version 49 of Steam HLDS Update Tool

i got stuck here for a hour, just nothing happen...have another sever under same network, no problem


any idea ?

it looks the steam does not dowload the clientregistry.blob file

have try reboot, reinstall OS, -verify all. still cannot

Try running this command...

./steam -command update -game orangebox -dir .

I won't install anything unless you specify the directory.

Another solution is you are running an x64 version of Ubuntu without all the libraries that SRCDS depends on.
