Gmod Server Help

Hey guys, so I have just created a gmod server for my friends and I to play on. First problem, whenever I put "sv_password kinny" into the console, it works, but my server doesn't save the password whenever I close the console. Second problem, whenever I insert "quit", the server restarts instead of shutting down. Please help ;-;

look for server.cfg inside cfg folder..
You can make one if you dont have.

The server.cfg is a normal text file, open/create it with your favorite text editor or Notepad / Wordpad.
Word processors like MS Word, LibreOffice/OpenOffice are less suited since they might add special word-processing instructions (which the gmod server wont understand).

Note that windows doesn't show known file extensions by default (unless you changed that), it might just say "server" in your cfg directory. Also, if you rightclick -> new -> text document and call it "server.cfg" it might end up as "server.cfg.txt" because of those (hidden) known file extensions. Let me know if you need any more help.
