Is Origin becoming more like steam.
One thing I have noticed since Origin was launched is that the platform is becoming more like steam in every sense. I have also noticed EA having more sales (even though someone from the company once stated that sales devalue games), more companys jumping on board and even having 48 hour trials of game (abit like steams free weekend but with a different name).

No doubt at some point in the future they will also add screenshot support, a market for microtransactions and even better sales with daily deals, who knows. This can only be good for PC gamers in general because it means more competition.

No, it's not good competition. Good competition is two people selling the same thing. EA won't let their games be sold on Steam, so no this is not good for us.

I just see it for what it is. I certainly wouldn't mind Origin if EA would still sell their games on Steam.

Origin is the out of date version of Steam.

I don't see why they wouldn't become what Steam is.

Unfortunately for EA, that will never happen.
