I don't know, what is it? I'd imagine it'll be a programmable button, how you would go about programming it is beyond me, but its not exactly uncommon for gaming mice to have random buttons. (My old one had two which activated numlock and another thing)

Look into rapid-fire or double-click, there is a good chance that it will be one of those.

Why would you buy a "gaming" mouse for?

Microsoft has some fine mice and keyboards which are more than satisfactory.

Because Microsoft mice are as large as Microsoft's e-peen. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/mice

Well, I don't like small mice, they don't feel good in my hands.

And that is why you don't buy Microsoft mice.

I may have a personal thing for loving Microsoft, which is rather ironic for somebody who worships GabeN

My gaming mouse had a macro for this as one of the presets, I'm pretty sure it's used to shoot in games, i.e L4D2, Counter Strike.

Isn't that what left click is for?

Exactly. It's a rather useless macro, so I changed it out with something more useful, OP should do the same.
