Any good RTS games out there?

I have starcraft 2, and while it is a fantastic game, because it's so competitive and the skill gap is so large, you really have to be awake whilst playing it. that's not a bad thing but I'm looking for a more realxing RTS. i have AOE (Age of empires) and Rome:Total War but really they're there for nostalgia. So I'm wondering does anyone have any ideas for a relatively recent RTS that would be a good buy for what I'm looking for?

Company of Heroes is apparently very good. Not being a huge RTS fan, I can't verify. Dawn of War and Empire at War are also decent RTS games that I have played, if you don't mind the franchises they belong to.

Neither are particularly recent, though, unless you count CoH2.
