They're skipping the good versions of Windows, and now only giving you the ones you don't like.
Edit: Or because 7 ate 9.
I got nothing to say about this.
Although the one good one bad seems like pretty much the standard for M$.
If I want to see anything in 10, I want to see Process Explorer and Autoruns integrated and better resource monitor tools.
Xbox > 360 > One (WTF?)
Windows 8 > 8.1 > 10 (O I guess 8.1 was 9)
Geforce 700 > 900 (wait WTF was 800 series mobile only?)
on that note, we'll have google chrome 100 before windows 10 rtm. :)
(i'm looking to download windows 10 preview and test i on another low-end machine of mine.)
Everyone knows seven ate nine. Sorry I had to.
I have been for it since the slides/pics were leaked a month or so ago with the new start menu. I've always thought it should of had two panes. One with classic start menu functionality. The second should basically be like the size and layout of the home screen of a WP8.1 device (Here's what one looks like http://tinypic.com/r/2m6lqo7/8 I alternate between a Nokia 1020 and LG G2 ). It would be cool if it could also sync with your phone.
Because it's going to be their last major OS. It will all be updates from here on out so they just went ahead and called it '10.'
You know, 7 should be like 15 if counting all major versions.
How so?
With the "major" versions according to MS being:
3.x
95
98
2000
XP
Vista
