Why such powerful hardware, yet u play @ that res on 4:3 screen?
What i'm wondering aswell.
Unless you have a apu, 1600mhz for gaming is plenty. You can see on youtube and other sites, benchmarks that show extra speedy memory doesn't do anything.

APU?
Also 16GB is more than enough, you would be totally fine even with 8.
If you are bottlenecking yourself with something, is the desktop resolution. 5:4 aspect cannot be called modern anymore. I would suggest to get a new widescreen monitor before upgrading any part in the mobo.
so 1080p monitor?
I mean u have a nice system, it wasn't cheap...
Why u playing @ 1280x1024???
Why not upgrade your display to 1080p or something like that.
Rest of ur system specs are fine.
But of course even a 1920x1080 - let's say 24" would be a big jump over your current.
so my pc performance should be alot better with a 1080p monitor?
just came from console
Enjoy the visuals a GTX 770 can provide!
is it hdm1 wire 1080p monitors take?
1920x1080 = 2 073 600 pixels
Nope, actually you performace will be a bit slower, due it must more pixels to display. Though I would not worry about this with a GTX 770. You should play any game with max settings on this card even on 1080p.
Here doesn't goes about performance but about visuals. Current games are designed for widescreen, there will be simply more stuff on your screen and it will be sharper, prettier.
Your current screen chops down or deforms and doesnt shows the true picture.
get 1866 mhz ram and get 1080p monitor and i should be ok for gaming wise?
