Upgrading to a Quad Core Processor
I just bought an Intel Core 2 Quad Core Q6700 8M processor for my PC. What difference will I expect from it compared to the Dual Core processor that I currently have in it?:happymeat:

depends on your gpu and the game, but the q6700 was a very good CPU at the time.

Buying 7 years old tech is probably not the best move, unless you got it dirt cheap.

Video card upgrade will make a difference, cpu upgrades will make a difference but not a huge one

Well, a reliative of mine had a pentium D for a long time in his build, when he switch to a core 2 quad q6600 about a year ago, it made all the difference and even now his pc flies with that thing.
