imho, sell them and buy a better single card
550ti shoud go for around $40-50
5970 is the highest 5000 series card, but its a dual gpu card
will not be good with games that dont support crossfire
if you can get a gtx760 or r9 270 you will be better than both of those
Skim through this link, even though it is talking primarialy about sli and crossfire, he tells you how to switch between a nvidia card and a amd one.
No i didn't mean crossfire or sli , I meant like you know how some laptops have 2 gpu's in them and you can enable which one you want active for whatever you are doing. could I do that with my mobo? i have 2 spots for gpu. So could i do that? I don't mean sli or crossfire.
ex. intel with nvida, the nvidia gpu writes the output buffer to thte intel gpu to be displayed
there was some software to do that for amd/nvidia desktop setups, but your still better off with a single better card
it doesnt take alot to beat the 550ti
and the amd 5970 will not be good on games that dont support crossfire
