Does dis pc need a watercooling system?

instead of the fx 6300 get an i3 4130
same overall performance from 2 cores vs 6

and if you do go amd fx, get a 900 series board vs the 760
700 nb was designed for pii, and will run the fx at pii spec
and the 3+1 power phase will throttle the crap out of a 125w cpu

So what games will this pc run? Does more wattage mean less heat?

go with your initial build, in modern games it crushes the i3 and its pathetic 2 cores. more watts = more heat. otherwise that system is pretty well balanced

Definitely toss the stock cpu cooler and get a better one. If you are overclocking the fx, get a liquid cooler.

Watercooler for so cheap build is pointless, for that money you could rather get much better CPU.

amd cpus do not need liquid cooling
their stock cooler will be fine for stock speeds, or a 212evo for overclocking them

and rump is correct, spend another $100 to get the 4670k and a 212evo and a z87 board, then itll overclock to 4ghz and eat any amd cpu alive

I dont have any more money to spend atm. Will this be a good enough pc for Dayz Standalone?

the amd build will be a dead end for upgrading the cpu
fx8000s will add 2 more cores but not more speed for programs that dont use 6+cores
i3 4130 can be upgraded to i5 4670 or i7 4770 if needed

Im not gonna go with a weaker cpu for the same amount of money. Im gonna be playing dayz and stuff.

dayz specs re pretty low
intel dual core, or amd x2 to i5 or amd x4

dont let the numbers fool you
the i3 will beat amd quads

amd ghz < intel ghz
per core speed, 2.5ghz intel = 4ghz amd

Dayz requirements might say that, but if u ever played, any dual core is crap on Arma2, OA, Dayz.

You need a quad, as these games have a lot of AI to handle/compute.
I would not go lower than Intel i5 or AMD FX-8

Ok im sticking with what i got mainly cause im gonna be playing dayz standalone and prob wont upgrade in the future. Is the processor considered over a quad core or is it like the i7?

8350 may be close to i7 920

I would not be overclocking due to i need a watercool when i do so ill just keep it the way it is. Ill get dayz standalone and the system and see how it runs.
