Best Download Methods?
I had to reset my PC a few months ago and haven't got around to re-downloading all my games. This because I bought a few on the big sales and are big file sizes. Namely Tombraider games and The Orange Box games. Even Giana Sisters is a 3 hour download time. I am on a wireless network(my kids desktop is the only other PC). I feel like just temporarily moving the desktop to the phiysical router and downloading my games there, if that would speed things up. Sounds silly. But is there another way?

What is your ISP bandwidth and what wireless type are you using (802.11a/b/g/n)?

Normally, your ISP bandwidth will be less than your wireless bandwidth.

what router do you have?
if its mdel ends in N it will be atleast 150mb/s
if its b-g then its max is 54mb/s

actual speeds may vary dpending on interference and distance

what isp do you have?
dsl has a max around 1-10mb/s
cable normally goes from 5-100mb/s

To determine your ISP bandwidth, you either look at your bill or call them. To determine what your wireless is using, you look at the make and model of router or the wireless network adapter properties.
